CHARTIST FOOTSTEPS APP

The gruelling march of thousands of Welsh Chartist workers in their campaign for justice and the right to vote, and the shooting dead of more than twenty of their number at the Westgate Hotel during the 1839 Newport Rising underpins the city’s proud claim to be "Newport: Home of the Vote."

"I am for a peaceful revolution." - John Frost, 1839
